Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls, is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.
In the Edmonton region, we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Nisku.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist to work Mon-Thu nights. This role is responsible for direct examination of product to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and align with legislation and customer specifications.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, strictly adhering to the organization's quality assurance procedures and policies, and identifying defects and/or production errors to prevent these materials from entering the supply chain.
Daily Responsibilities- Daily inspection of in process units: ensuring sealing is completed, no missing parts, and all other in process inspections are of high quality.
- Daily inspection of paperwork for all in process units and reporting any deficiencies to the Quality Supervisor.
- Completing sub assembly inspections such as motor, coil, evap., furnace, and paint.
- Completing unit final inspections.
- Reviewing inspection documents and making unit packages.
- Reporting any observed safety issues to the Safety Coach or Safety Coordinator.
- Assisting with education of other inspectors and production team members.
- Inspecting drawings and marking/breaking work and ensuring it is correct.
- Assisting marking with Engineering changes where drawings are not correct and submitting to the Quality Supervisor.
- Inspecting all aspects of units with the appropriate forms from the beginning to the end and recording all discrepancies.
- Organizing all inspection documentation papers and online photos.
This role requires performing all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership's safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
Requirements- 1-3 years of quality control experience in an organization with an established quality program.
- Educational background in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with quality control concepts.
- Certification or currently working towards certification.
- Courses with a focus on quality control or quality systems.
- Strong ability to read shop drawings.
- Practical experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, detail oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage change on the floor and work well with shift supervisors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
