About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Gino's Pizza. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure that they are able to perform their roles to the best of their ability.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensure that they are ordered and stocked in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and take corrective action if necessary.
  • Prepare Reports and Budgets: Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and other relevant data, and prepare budget and cost estimates for future planning.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and take steps to resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, initiative, dependability.
