Counsellor for Residential Treatment

Compass Health Network is a leading provider of behavioral health, substance use treatment, family medicine, and dental services throughout Missouri.
We offer a unique opportunity to work with our team as an Evening Counsellor at Royal Oaks Hospital. The role involves working 40 hours weekly, with a split shift schedule that includes evenings on Monday and Tuesday (3:30pm-12:00am) and days on Saturday and Sunday (7:30am-7:30am).
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to provide age-appropriate care for psychiatric patients. They must also be able to effectively problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, coordinate residential treatment, and demonstrate knowledge of departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
A key aspect of this role is the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve quality improvement goals and objectives hospital-wide. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for taking personal responsibility for their actions, employing leadership skills as needed, and adhering to Federal, State, and TJC standards regarding patient confidentiality.
Required qualifications include a High School/GED and Associates/Bachelor's degree in a human service field. Prior experience in an office setting and ability to deal with people in an empathetic manner are preferred.
