Veterinary Practice Manager Opportunity

VCA Canada Animal Hospitals has a unique opportunity for a joint Veterinary Practice Manager at Scarborough Animal Hospital and Morningside Animal Hospital. This career opportunity is available for an experienced veterinary Client Service professional to join our leadership team as a Veterinary Practice Manager at both locations.

Under the guidance of the Regional Director and in partnership with the Medical Director, the Veterinary Practice Manager performs a wide range of administrative activities related to the practice. The successful candidate will be passionate about providing leadership and development for a multi-faceted team, who delivers a high level of veterinary services to our patients and pet owners.

Key Responsibilities and Attributes

  • Customer Service Excellence: Prior personnel management experience (minimum 2-3 years) and a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Human Resource Management: Fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment, scheduling staff, document control, filing, various reporting, and coordinating office services.
  • Team Leadership and Guidance: Fostering people relationships, providing coaching opportunities, towards the goal of quality patient care and excellent client service.
  • Communication Excellence: Working with colleagues, pet parents, and the community to deliver effective communication.
  • Operational Management: Contributing to objectives and efficiencies for profitable hospital operations, streamlining processes, and optimizing workflow.
  • Financial Management: Collaborating with medical leadership, including inventory management, to ensure the financial success of the hospital.
  • Representation: Positively representing the hospital and VCA in the professional community and publicly.
