Job Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and integrity in the retail location. This involves conducting cycle counts of sales floor and backroom stock, investigating variances, and making adjustments as needed. The successful candidate will also be responsible for creating reports, investigating discrepancies, and performing other inventory-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular cycle counts of sales floor and backroom stock to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances, including researching and making adjustments as needed.
  • Create and maintain accurate inventory reports, including out-of-stock reports and negative on-hand investigations.
  • Assist customers with finding merchandise and making purchasing decisions while working on the sales floor during store hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management and the team lead, including setting and adjusting sales floor min/max and replenishment flags.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of retail experience in inventory management or a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with inventory management software and systems, including Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.
