VON Canada (Ontario) is seeking a skilled Home Care Operations Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality client care services. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of $93,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

The Home Care Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the provision of safe, effective, and quality client care within their program area(s). Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing professional and practice leadership to staff;
  • Directing and monitoring the delivery of client care services and day-to-day functions and performance of front-line staff;
  • Assisting staff or completing risk assessments, investigations of issues, injuries, and reporting related to client or employee matters;
  • Monitoring performance related to funder expectations regularly and contributing to the development and implementation of quality improvement activities;
  • Applying working knowledge of relevant collective agreements and local labor rules in daily decision-making;

In addition, the successful candidate will participate in budget preparation, financial performance, and key performance indicators (KPI) and quality reports for internal and external stakeholders. A strong emphasis is placed on promoting a safe and healthy workplace, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety policies, programs, and activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in community health care and 2 years' experience managing teams;
  • Experience in community work and working with community partners in a collaborative environment;
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict management, and financial management skills;
  • Ability to exercise innovation and identify opportunities by practicing LEAN principles and methodologies;
  • Strong public relations and networking skills;
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other tools;

A Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may be required for this position. The ability to speak French is an asset. A personal vehicle or access to reliable transportation is necessary, as well as a current driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance. Willingness to travel regularly during the day and occasionally overnight to support sites and attend meetings is also required.
