Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Coordinator, Locum and Rural Virtual Support, Medical Affairs to join their team. As a key member of the Medical Affairs Administration team, this individual will play a crucial role in supporting locum services at priority sites within Vancouver Coastal Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support locum services at priority sites.
  • Work closely with local medical leadership, provincial locum pools, and other stakeholders to coordinate required activities.
  • Engage with medical staff, site operations, and medical leaders to coordinate and implement processes to support service delivery.
  • Support Local, Medical Directors, and Medical Affairs department meetings.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • A two-year post-secondary certificate in office administration or a healthcare-related field.
  • Three to five years of recent, related experience, including working with medical leaders, healthcare providers, and staff.
  • Previous experience working in rural healthcare programs is an asset.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Excellent judgment in setting priorities, identifying issues, and determining action required.
  • Experience working with medical staff, healthcare providers, and support staff.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks, balance priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of the team.
