Overview: Kitco Metals Inc. is seeking a strategic and innovative Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our IT department and contribute to our executive leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a Visionary IT Strategy: Formulate a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with Kitco's business objectives, creating a detailed roadmap for technology implementation and enhancement across the organization.
  • Financial and Team Leadership: Manage the IT budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation for technology investments while fostering the growth and development of a skilled IT workforce.
  • Enhance Cybersecurity Measures: Actively identify and mitigate technology-related risks, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to fortify cybersecurity protocols and safeguard critical data.
  • Oversee Software Development: Direct both in-house and outsourced software development projects, ensuring adherence to best practices in project management and quality assurance.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Lead the deployment and administration of cloud solutions, enhancing IT flexibility and ensuring robust business continuity strategies.
  • Strategic IT Leadership: Formulate and implement IT strategies that drive overall business success.
  • Team Development: Cultivate a high-performing IT team through mentorship and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establish IT Governance: Create and enforce frameworks for secure and efficient technology management.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with technology vendors, ensuring compliance and maximizing value.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary IT liaison, effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Lead IT-related change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Performance Measurement: Define and monitor IT performance metrics to enhance service delivery and user satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree (MBA, MIS, etc.) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a mid-to-large-scale organization.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional IT teams and managing third-party vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage IT budgets and deliver clear ROI on technology investments.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving operational excellence.
