Marine Biologist

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Marine Biologist to join our team in Burnaby, BC.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a marine biologist, with expertise in marine ecosystems in British Columbia. A Bachelor's degree in Biology is required, and a M.Sc. or PhD in Biology is preferred.

• Manage, plan, and lead marine field programs, including data analysis and report writing.
• Contribute leadership to the group by providing supervision, training, technical direction, and mentoring to junior and intermediate staff.
• Assemble, manage, and analyze large marine datasets.

The successful candidate will work in a team environment and contribute to environmental impact assessments, environmental effects mitigation and monitoring programs, research projects, and permitting.

• Current Registered Professional Biologist accreditation with the College of Applied Biology.
• Experience in designing and conducting underwater acoustic monitoring programs, construction monitoring, and environmental management planning.
• Knowledge of current provincial and federal government regulatory requirements.

A competitive salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
