Purchasing Agent Job Description

CLUCK CLUCKS is seeking a skilled Purchasing Agent to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for purchasing general and specialized equipment, materials, and business services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase equipment, materials, and supplies in accordance with established specifications and budget guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Assess requirements of the organization to develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased.
  • Negotiate offers from suppliers and award contracts to appropriate parties.
  • Establish and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
  • Monitor progress of delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Working Conditions:

The Purchasing Agent will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
