Procurement Specialist Job Description

At Bird Construction, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure engineering projects, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement process to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for civil engineering projects, ensuring best value for money.
  • Identify potential suppliers, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective action plans as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, and/or relevant combination of experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the infrastructure industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
