We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to provide care and support to our male employer residing in central North Shore. As an active member of his community, the ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting him to go to all work and social events.

The role requires a team player who is confident and able to learn a routine, with ability to adapt, collaborate and improvise. They take direction well and are capable of carrying out tasks unsupervised and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care and support with activities of daily living
  • Assisting with respiratory care (training provided)
  • Preparing and serving meals
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Transferring using a ceiling lift
  • Accompanying the client on outings and errands

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience required
  • Experience with slings and transfers are preferred
  • Fully vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated
  • Class 5 Driver's License is required and must be comfortable driving client's van
  • Willing to go on trips with client is required
  • Excellent communication skills

Salary: $500 per day
