About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to lead our commercial and institutional projects. This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled professional to showcase their expertise and drive success.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and achieve project targets, milestones, and deadlines for electrical projects.
  • Provide proactive leadership in Health and Safety initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress, forecasts, cost control, and schedule management aligning with Plan Group's efficiency program.
  • Identify potential problems and schedule delays, bringing them to management's attention.
  • Ensure accurate project forecasting and monitor critical path activities.
  • Analyze and advise on project team performance.
  • Lead pre-job planning, including estimate turnover, kick-off meetings, subcontractor selection, material handling strategies, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with site supervision to optimize labor and manpower utilization.
  • Manage project teams to adhere to document control, change order process, equipment deliveries, site meetings, and progress documentation requirements.
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and training to project team members.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and engineers to contribute to project success.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in construction project management, preferably in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing commercial and institutional electrical projects.
  • Experience with estimating software such as Accubid Change Order, Enterprise – Enterprise Change Order Version, and/or Estimating experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software like Microsoft Project and/or Primavera.
  • Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with architectural, electrical, and mechanical construction drawings, as well as commercial project experience.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
