About the Role

M&D Building Maintenance is seeking a skilled Landscape Gardener to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor services team, you will be responsible for managing landscaping projects, ensuring the health and beauty of our clients' lawns and gardens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses, and other purposes.
  • Lawn and Garden Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products as needed.
  • Treatment and Repair: Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas, and injecting with treatment solutions to maintain the health and appearance of lawns and gardens.
  • Assessment and Planning: Assess the health of lawns and plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses, and other purposes.
  • Planting and Maintenance: Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens, and plant and move trees as needed.
Work Environment and Conditions
  • Work Site Environment: Work outdoors in a variety of locations, including clients' homes and public spaces.
  • Work Setting: Work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, often in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires a high level of physical fitness, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with a regular schedule.
