Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Waterfall Plumbing & Heating Ltd. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Installation
    • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
    • Prepare tenders and quotations for plumbing projects.
  • Pipe Fitting and Repair
    • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
    • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
    • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
    • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Estimation and Measurement
    • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
    • Estimate costs and materials for plumbing projects.
    • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
  • Supervision and Safety
    • Supervise 1 to 2 people in the plumbing team.
    • Ensure a safe working environment by following safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in plumbing.
  • Work Environment
    • Wet/damp work site environment.
  • Work Setting
    • Various locations, including commercial, residential, and construction sites.
  • Physical Demands
    • Physically demanding work, requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Security and Safety
    • Criminal record check.
    • Driving record check (abstract).
  • Transportation and Travel
    • Vehicle supplied by employer.
    • Valid driver's license.
  • Work Conditions
    • Overtime required.
    • Work under pressure.
  • Tools and Equipment
    • Steel-toed safety boots.
