About the Role

We are seeking an experienced cook to join our team at Asian Hakka Chinese & Indian Restaurant. As a cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Staff Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and work areas.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
