About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team at Asian Hakka Chinese & Indian Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.
  • Staff Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and performing physically demanding tasks.
