Job Summary:
BQ International Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Support, Maintenance and Development Resource to join our IT Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our applications and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with our IT Operations team to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and maintain good documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality.
- Mentor junior and intermediate resources to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Assist in the coordination of ongoing maintenance tasks, including application and database server upgrades.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and other IT team members to address production support issues and changes to existing applications.
- Follow established change management processes to ensure smooth transitions.
Requirements:
- .Net 4.0 or higher
- Database scripting experience (SQL Server 2008 or higher or Oracle 11 or higher)
- Visual Studio
- Experience with products and tools that provide Business intelligence and Analytics (products such as, but not limited to, Oracle Business Intelligence and/or Microsoft Power BI)
- Unix Platform
Preferred Qualifications:
- North American job experience
- Additional skills and knowledge areas outlined in Appendix C – Supplementary Specifications
