Job Summary:

The BC SPCA is seeking a Senior Manager to oversee the effective delivery of all applicable programs and services within designated communities/region. This role ensures seamless implementation and successful execution of all BC SPCA programs and services in the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops annual strategic and operational goals and objectives for the area that are consistent with and flow from the Strategic Plan.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, annual goal setting, performance management, and termination of direct reports.
  • Acts as the community ambassador/representative of all BC SPCA programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures effective communication, coordination, and accountability of the Animal Centre in Large Scale Animal Intake (LSAI) files.
  • Represents assigned area on internal and external committees, as assigned.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business, Management, or other related discipline plus a minimum 8 years' related experience including minimum 3 years' experience in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • Proven leader with a track record of developing a high-performing team.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with a strong focus on process and continuous improvement.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and from diverse backgrounds in a positive and respectful manner.
