Senior Manager, Community Animal Care Centres

Position Overview:
The BC SPCA is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the delivery of all applicable programs and services within the designated communities/region. This role ensures seamless implementation and successful execution of all BC SPCA programs and services in the area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops annual strategic and operational goals and objectives for the area that are consistent with and flow from the Strategic Plan.
- Recruits, hires, onboards, and manages direct reports, providing coaching and mentorship to ensure objectives and goals are met.
- Acts as the community ambassador/representative of all BC SPCA programs, policies, and procedures, using effective change management techniques to ensure high rates of success in implementation and compliance.
- Ensures effective communication, coordination, and accountability of the Animal Centre in Large Scale Animal Intake (LSAI) files.
- Represents the BC SPCA in the area at community events and in the media.
Requirements:
- University degree in Business, Management, or other related discipline, plus a minimum 8 years' related experience, including minimum 3 years' experience in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Proven leader with a track record of developing a high-performing team.
- Strategic and creative thinker with a strong focus on process and continuous improvement.
- Strong business acumen.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and from diverse backgrounds in a positive and respectful manner.
