Job Title: Director, Communications and Public Affairs

Headwaters Health Care Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Communications and Public Affairs to join our team. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the hospital's reputation and promoting its mission to provide excellent care, close to home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive communications and public affairs strategies to advance the hospital's goals and objectives.
  • Manage and maintain the hospital's online presence, including its website and social media channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, government officials, and community leaders.
  • Develop and implement crisis communications plans to ensure the hospital's reputation is protected in times of crisis.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the President and CEO on communications and public affairs matters.
Requirements:
  • University degree in communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in communications and public affairs, with a proven track record of success.
  • Expert-level knowledge of marketing, social media, and media relations.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and stories.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
