About the Role

The Senior Specialist, Total Rewards is a key member of the global HR team, responsible for developing, implementing, and administering total compensation programs that align with the company's business strategy and employee value proposition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement global compensation programs that attract and retain top talent, while ensuring compliance with regional legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with global HR partners, corporate office, and vendors to design and administer compensation programs that meet business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to ensure competitiveness of total compensation programs and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide training and education to global HR partners and operating divisions on compensation management and administration.
  • Partner with external vendors and professional associations to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in compensation and benefits.
  • Manage the Magna Total Compensation Survey and monitor completion across regions, providing support and feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Support annual salary and bonus administration, ensuring alignment with business plan objectives and Magna recommendations.
  • Develop and oversee the Job Evaluation process to support effective market data comparison, salary/pay administration practices, and internal pay equity compliance.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of progressive and relevant work experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in automotive/industrial manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and administering global compensation programs, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Excellent computer literacy and command of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
