About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team at Alexander Wilson Architect Inc. as a key member of our design and development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software, including ARCHICAD, Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino), and AutoCAD.
  • Analyze and interpret technical documents and reports to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop and refine design concepts.
  • Prepare and present working drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor and ensure compliance with design and construction standards.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects, and assist in budgeting and scheduling.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • College diploma or degree in a related field, such as architecture, engineering, or construction technology.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a design and development role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including ARCHICAD, Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino), and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze technical documents and reports.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
