Machine Learning Engineer for Animation

About the Role:
Ubisoft is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our animation team as a Senior Animation Technologist. This role will focus on industrializing machine learning (ML) techniques into our animation technology stacks, revolutionizing how we make animation as a studio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing animation tech stacks and propose novel approaches using machine learning techniques.
- Stay up-to-date with current industry developments in ML and share knowledge with animation leadership.
- Execute and contribute to the existing animation roadmap for the animation team.
- Work collaboratively with a diverse full-stack animation team to develop pragmatic ML techniques for animation technology stacks.
- Develop ML solutions for problem-solving across various domains, thinking outside the animation domain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML-based techniques into our animation technology stacks.
Requirements:
- Masters or PhD in a machine learning software engineering field or equivalent industry experience.
- Undergraduate degree in computer science or significant industry experience.
- Strong 3D mathematics and calculus skills.
- Experience with modern game engines (Unreal/Unity).
- Understanding of current novel and standard runtime and offline animation techniques for games and film.
- Understanding of state-of-the-art machine learning topics (VAEs, NERFs, GANs, etc.).
- C++ experience.
