Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at OSMOW'S MEDITERRANEAN AUTHENTIC RESTAURANT. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
- Estimate and Manage Inventory: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
- Ensure Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary to prevent any issues from arising.
- Prepare Budgets and Reports: Prepare budgets and cost estimates, and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
- Address Customer Complaints: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and take steps to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain Records: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and use this data to inform business decisions.
- Supervise Delivery of Food Trolleys: Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys to ensure that they are delivered to the correct location and in a timely manner.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
- Work Setting: Restaurant.
- Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, walking, attention to detail.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, initiative.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities, newcomers and/or refugees, youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
- Cultural Competency Training: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for diverse groups.
