About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Carrie Fowler. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide personalized care and support to our clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care for Clients
    • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
    • Provide medication reminders and administration
    • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Companionship and Social Interaction
    • Engage in conversation and activities with clients to promote social interaction and mental stimulation
    • Accompany clients on outings and errands
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Manage client schedules and appointments
    • Assist with grocery shopping and household errands
  • Health and Safety
    • Monitor client health and well-being
    • Report any changes or concerns to management
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a care-giving role is an asset
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
