UX Researcher Job Opportunity

Alquemy Search & Consulting is working with a leading client in British Columbia, seeking a UX Researcher for an initial 12-month contract term. The work can be 100% remote, but the preference is for BC-based consultants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with designers, product teams, and stakeholders to understand research goals and strategies.
  • Plan, conduct, and synthesize research using various methods, including interviews, field studies, diary studies, usability tests, and surveys.
  • Support designers in making data-informed decisions at various design stages.
  • Consolidate user insights to develop artifacts like personas, user scenarios, and journey maps.
  • Effectively articulate research insights and translate findings into actionable opportunities.
  • Understand industry trends and share insights across the organization.
  • Represent the user voice in conversations with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 35 years of experience conducting UX Research, particularly for omnichannel products and services.
  • Experience with standard UX Research methodologies and creating research artifacts.
  • Familiarity with design tools like Figma.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable with organizing and leading stakeholder workshops.
  • Understanding of digital analytics and UX Research.
  • Ability to develop creative approaches to researching complex UX problems.
