Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Core Software Engineer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality UI/UX features for our games.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with designers, producers, artists, and other engineers to contribute to a shared vision for compelling UI/UX features.
  • Write high-quality code following established engineering practices and project coding standards.
  • Develop and refine UI/UX prototypes to ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Design and implement production-level UI/UX subsystems that meet our high standards.
  • Write software requirements and technical specifications to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Provide accurate time estimates for tasks and ensure timely completion.
  • Implement production-level game UI/UX subsystems that meet our quality standards.
  • Optimize code to achieve desired performance and efficiency.
  • Document designed and implemented components to ensure knowledge sharing and reuse.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and continuously grow as an engineer.
Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced software engineer who can meet the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years of programming experience.
  • Strong C++ skills and experience.
  • Understanding of game design principles and UI/UX best practices.
  • Experience with core UI principles, accessibility, and desktop development.
  • Experience with prototype development and consumer-oriented UI systems.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine and mobile platforms is a plus.
  • Experience building UI systems for multi-platform games and apps is a plus.
  • Experience with multiple UI frameworks is a plus.
