Description:

As an EMR, you will be responsible for assessing emergency scenes and patients, providing simple treatments, and transporting ill or injured patients from emergency scenes and between facilities. You will also be required to operate ambulances or other modes of transportation, assess emergency scenes and patients, and complete required documentation, including patient care reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess emergency scenes and patients
  • Provide simple treatments
  • Transport ill or injured patients
  • Operate ambulances or other modes of transportation
  • Complete required documentation

Requirements:

  • Non-restricted registration in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACOP) as Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Valid class 4 Alberta Operator License or equivalent
  • Five (5) year driver abstract current within six (6) months with no more than six (6) demerits
  • Proof of successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (FARE)
