About the Role

As a Physiotherapist with Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with mobility issues. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping patients recover from injuries or illnesses, regain their strength and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based physiotherapy programs to promote patient recovery and independence.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university.
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (provincial licensing body).
  • Computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and Outlook.
  • Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS).
  • Demonstrated experience working with geriatric populations, with knowledge of specialized areas like cardio-respiratory techniques, acupuncture, stroke rehabilitation, manual therapy, and balance training.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, particularly French.
Compensation Package

$36.23 - $45.65 hourly, plus benefits package including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

Successful candidates may also be eligible for bonuses and incentives based on performance.
