About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team in a hospital setting. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for operating X-ray, radiographic, and fluoroscopic equipment, as well as computerized tomography (CT) scanners.

Your primary duties will include explaining procedures to patients, positioning patients for exams, and preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals. You will also be responsible for training technicians, assistants, students, or interns, and wearing radiation detection equipment to acquire data for use by nuclear medicine physicians in the diagnosis of disease.

Additionally, you will record and process results of procedures, explain procedures and side effects of radiation, and perform basic verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipment.

Requirements
  • Certification by a provincial or territorial association
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
