CNC Machine Technician

This CNC Machinist position presents an exceptional opportunity to develop technical skills and programming knowledge within a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Operate and maintain CNC machines to optimize material usage and equipment efficiency
  • Perform precise measurements to ensure components meet specific tolerances and surface finishes
  • Ensure a safe working environment by handling materials and tools properly and reporting any environmental or health & safety concerns
  • Assist in training and development of colleagues and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and participate in near miss/incident reporting
  • Meet the physical demands of the manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 35 lbs.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience with CNC lathe and/or mill setup and operation
  • Trade certification considered an asset, but not required
  • Overhead crane and forklift certificates required
  • Weingartner and Leistritz experience considered an asset
