Job Summary

Wood's Homes is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth and Family Counsellor I to join our team on a permanent night shift basis. As a key member of our U12 program, you will provide high-quality services to children, youth, and families, promoting their personal and social development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain a structured setting that fosters the growth and well-being of each client.
  • Participate actively in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and training sessions to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Provide therapeutic support to children, youth, and their families, including attendance at case conferences, intervention strategies, and consultations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean living environment, adhering to licensing department requirements.
  • Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation of clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program functioning.

Requirements

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field, with a minimum of two to four years of experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience working with young people is preferred.
  • Proof of professional registration may be required for certain diplomas or degrees.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
