Job Description:

The Contact Handling Experience (CHEX) team at Amazon is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead an engineering team in delivering innovative solutions for Customer Service Associates (CSAs). As a key member of the CHEX team, you will be responsible for managing a high-performing development team, overseeing the software development life-cycle, and driving the creation of world-class products.

About the Team:

The CHEX team develops products to support CSAs in delivering exceptional customer experiences. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholder teams within Amazon, we build effortless solutions to handle and resolve customer contacts while providing insights to delight customers with each interaction.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of experience in engineering team management, 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams, and knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have experience partnering with product or program management teams and communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements and describe software product features.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers is highly desirable.
