Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Ventura Foods. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and performance of production equipment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safety Standards, SOP's and Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve and troubleshoot various types of packing & process equipment in food manufacturing.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and provide quick, innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal work, machining, troubleshooting and analytical problem solving.
  • Conduct PM programs according to standards.
  • Responsible for equipment changeover, set up, take down and relocation of all packaging equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • Recommend solutions to routine and unique equipment problems.
  • Response to equipment problems in a timely & customer-oriented manner.
  • Integrating all plant, quality, safety and security policies and guidelines into all day to day activities on the job.
  • All other work as assigned by duly authorized Supervisor or Team Leader.
Requirements:
  • 443A Millwright license or relevant demonstrated experience with both processing and packaging equipment such as homogenizers, process valves, pumps, heat exchangers, rotary fillers, bottle sleevers etc.
