Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Food Engineering

Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a tenure-track faculty position in food engineering and food bioprocess engineering at Université Laval. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and teaching courses on food engineering and bioprocess engineering, as well as conducting original research in these areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and teach courses on food engineering and bioprocess engineering at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Conduct original research in food engineering and bioprocess engineering, with a focus on developing a detailed understanding of these fields
- Supervise and co-supervise graduate students, as well as participate in the supervision of undergraduate students
- Contribute to the promotion of research activities in food engineering and bioprocess engineering, and participate in the life of Université Laval
Requirements
- Ph.D. in food engineering, chemical engineering, process engineering, bioprocess engineering, bioresource engineering, or a related field
- Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or an equivalent order of engineering in Canada, or eligibility to become a member
- Publications file with a minimum of three relevant articles published in peer-reviewed scientific journals over the last five years
- Relevant work experience in food engineering, food bioprocess engineering, bio-fermentation, bioreactors, biosensors, or enzymology
- Ability to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in French
Selection Criteria
- Candidates will be selected based on their qualifications, experience, and publications
- Priority will be given to candidates who meet the requirements and have a strong research and teaching background in food engineering and bioprocess engineering
