About the Job:
This permanent position offers a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week and will be responsible for:
- Reading blueprints and determining work requirements;
- Preparing layouts and measuring tools;
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials;
- Building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems;
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware;
- Working with hand and power tools;
Requirements:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience;
- At least 2 years of experience in the trade;
- Excellent hand-eye co-ordination and physical abilities;
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently;
- Strong client focus and judgement skills;
- Reliability and ability to work as part of a team;
