Highly Skilled Electrical Engineer for Global Projects

About This RoleWe are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering new grad with a strong interest in electrical and power system engineering to join our PDG team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will report directly to the Electrical discipline lead Engineer and work from our Sudbury office with opportunities to collaborate on projects globally and at job sites.
You will be given the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to complex projects around the world and work on challenging problems and projects in both the office and on-site environments. You will have access to participate in various Professional Development Programs, Sustainability Week, Toastmasters, and other activities to develop your skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities- Develop industrial electrical designs for low voltage, medium voltage, and high voltage power distribution, including single line diagrams, motor schematics, protection/control schemes, and layout drawings.
- Use electrical system modeling software such as Easypower/ETAP to conduct arc flash studies and other analyses.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, and construction work packages.
- Design and implement power system control programming, configuration, and commissioning.
- Collaborate and interface with project team members, clients, and vendors.
To be successful in this role, you must be working towards graduating in 2025 or recently graduated with a Bachelor's of Applied Science, Master's of Applied Science, or Master's of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. You should possess good knowledge of power systems, AC and DC design, and electrical design fundamentals. Coursework in electric circuits, power electronics, and electric machines is also required. Additionally, you should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Previous coop or work terms in electrical engineering design and execution will be considered an asset. Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects is essential. Critical and creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to bring forward solutions for clients' toughest challenges are highly valued.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
