Safety and Security Supervisor

At TD Place, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Security Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for providing a supervisory presence within the Public Safety department, working a rotational schedule to provide 24/7, 365 day coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Delivery Oversight: Ensure the effective delivery of security services, including supervising security and public safety programs during TD Place events.
  • Incident Response: Respond to security incidents throughout the Stadium as primary investigator, conducting initial investigations, reporting, and communicating details to key stakeholders and emergency services.
  • Team Management: Assign security team audits, supervise completion, and verify results. Oversee daily tasks, including unlocking and locking buildings, patrol routes, and visitor and contractor passes.
  • Emergency Response: Direct security and building staff response in the event of an emergency, acting as primary security until relieved by a senior team member.
  • Project Management: Manage assigned projects, including first-aid, fire equipment, access control hardware, security, and video systems.
  • Staff Safety: Ensure all security personnel have access to and use required safety equipment.
  • Log Management: Track and maintain logs outlining shift occurrences, overseeing logs completed by staff members throughout shifts.
  • Event Support: Monitor event orders and facility rentals to provide effective service to guests and clients.

Requirements:

  • Education: Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience working in a security leadership role, directly supervising staff.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Active and valid Ontario Security Guard license.
  • Skills: Strong computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and experience in operating security systems.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit or stand for long periods, walk long distances, and climb multiple stairs.
  • Availability: Ability to work evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
  • Language: Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
