We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Professional to join our team at LifeLabs, Canada's leading provider of laboratory diagnostic information and digital health connectivity systems.

About the Role
  • We offer a competitive salary range of $32.99 - $40.70 per hour, commensurate with experience.
  • This is a full-time float position with flexible shift arrangements.
  • As a Laboratory Professional, you will play a vital role in providing accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting.
Responsibilities
  1. Conduct a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  2. Prepare and process samples, maintaining accurate labeling and documentation.
  3. Perform, interpret, and release results while ensuring patient confidentiality.
  4. Identify incidents and non-conformities, participating in corrective action plans and driving continuous improvement.
  5. Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technology.
Requirements
  • Candidates must have a College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Registration with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) in good standing is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to distinguish multiple colors.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office products and laboratory analyzers.
