About the Role

CWB Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Underwriter to join our team. As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating mortgage applications and making informed decisions to ensure the integrity of our lending portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate mortgage applications and assess creditworthiness
  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and credit reports
  • Make informed decisions on loan approvals and denials
  • Collaborate with loan officers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless loan processing
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and guidelines
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in commerce, finance, or business
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mortgage underwriting or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
