Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Purchasing Officer to join our team at Matharu Construction Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing general and specialized equipment, materials, and business services. This role requires strong negotiation and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and experience in purchasing or a related field. They should also possess excellent computer and technology knowledge, including database management and MS Project.

This is a permanent position offering 30-44 hours of work per week. The salary range for this role is approximately $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Job

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Purchasing general and specialized equipment, materials, and business services
  • Negotiating offers from suppliers
  • Assessing requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies
  • Determining contract terms and conditions
  • Awarding contracts to appropriate parties

You will work closely with clients and suppliers to resolve problems and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
