Key Responsibilities:

As a Financial Planner at BMO, you will be responsible for providing financial and investment planning advice to customers, determining their needs, and providing solutions through the sales of managed products and services. You will also be responsible for implementing business development strategies to acquire new business, engaging customers to grow BMO's business, and identifying opportunities to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products.

Qualifications:

  • Typically between 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must meet the regulatory / governing body licensing and registration requirements of a Financial Planner in the province or territory of employment.
  • Advanced working knowledge of the financial industry.
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
  • Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth.
  • Influence skills - In-depth.

Compensation:

The starting salary is $55,000 plus upward commission potential. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.
