About the Role

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics (AME E) performs aircraft maintenance, repairs, and overhaul tasks related to their trade, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. This position requires immediate Controlled Goods clearance, and only Canadian Residents or Permanent Residents will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strive to consistently act in a manner that reflects the company's culture and values.
  • Perform all work tasks and ensure all repairs/modifications and inspection tasks are performed in accordance with the customer's check package, Transport Canada Regulations (CARS), Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM), Quality Control Procedures (QCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Process Standards (CPS), and all maintenance manufacturing and policy manuals.
  • Ensure all paperwork, documentation, and reporting associated with a repair is completed accurately.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to junior technicians to ensure work tasks are performed efficiently and accurately, and that appropriate skills to progress in the trade are developed.
  • Ensure all work tasks are performed in accordance with the company's health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Be familiar with, and ensure that all workplace conduct is in accordance with the company's Human Resources, attendance, safety, and security policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Good communication skills: fluent written and verbal English is mandatory.
  • Basic Computer Skills: word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
  • Specific knowledge of manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft or systems and components in the areas of Avionics.
  • Ability to ensure that approved standards of quality control are maintained.
  • Safe work practices and techniques.
  • Basic coaching and leadership skills.
  • Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (approved by TCA or the applicable governing body).
  • 48 + months' experience performing AME duties.
  • Holder of AME license or equivalency.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is $33.35/hr - $38.58/hr. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including extended benefits and the Employee Resilience Program, after 3 months of employment, and pension matching after 6 months.
