Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at 14763866 Canada Inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as managing kitchen operations and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate special events and plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs, and requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations and supervise kitchen staff and helpers
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Flexibility and ability to work overtime as required
