Job Opportunity: Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream in the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto.

About the Position

This is a full-time teaching stream position in the areas of Pharmacy, Program Evaluation, and Artificial Intelligence in Pharmacy Education/Practice. The successful candidate will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop curriculum in Pharmacy, Program Evaluation, and Artificial Intelligence in Pharmacy Education/Practice
  • Contribute to the development of innovative teaching methods and pedagogical inquiry
  • Collaborate with faculty members to coordinate large-size classes and experiential education
  • Develop and implement online methods and resources
  • Engage in administrative and organizational tasks to support the department
Requirements
  • PhD degree in Pharmacy, Data Sciences, Health Services, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of professional practice experience or teaching experience in a degree-granting program/post-secondary institution
  • Experience in program evaluation and artificial intelligence in pharmacy education/practice
  • Strong teaching and administrative skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty members and staff
