We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Support Professional to join our team at Square One Medical. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced medical clinic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with multiple board-certified physicians to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Perform nursing procedures under the supervision of a physician, including phlebotomy and administering injections.
  • Assist physicians in exam rooms and escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, and measure vital signs.
  • Document all information in the patient's E-Chart and update the physician before they see the patient.
  • Administer allergy shots, vitamin B12 injections, and other vaccinations as needed.
  • Prepare an E-Chart for the physician before the patient is seen and perform certain procedures, such as blood draws and wart removal.
  • Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
  • Direct patients who are sicker or need urgent attention and call patients with abnormal labs to determine a return-to-office plan.

Requirements:

  • Medical background (nurse) and medical assistant certification (an asset).
  • Knowledge of working in an EMR environment and exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.
  • Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
