About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at 2580737 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth finish
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a secure and even surface
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices in the installation of drywall and plaster
  • Estimate costs and materials for drywall and plaster projects
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan drywall and plaster installations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and plastering
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work at heights
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment with various locations and will be required to work at heights, in dusty and noisy conditions.
