Job Title: Industrial Painter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Painter to join our team at A. F. Theriault & Son Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying protective coatings and paints to various surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and prepare work areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment
  • Organize and maintain inventory of paints, coatings, and equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to ensure accurate application
  • Check the thickness of coatings using micrometers and other devices
  • Clean and maintain equipment, including sandblasters and steam cleaners
  • Apply stencils, decals, and other decorative items to finished products
  • Select and mix paints and coatings according to specifications
  • Tend and operate equipment to prepare surfaces for coating
  • Tend and operate equipment to spray or coat surfaces
Requirements:
  • Experience in industrial painting and coatings
  • Knowledge of surface preparation methods, including etching and sandblasting
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
