About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Educational Counsellor to join our team at Gateway College. As an Educational Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting students in achieving their academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to students on educational, career, and personal issues
  • Attend educational conferences and workshops to stay updated on industry trends and best practices
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community agencies to ensure students receive comprehensive support
  • Administer and interpret standardized tests to assess student abilities and interests
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students' social and labour market integration
  • Recruit and support students from diverse backgrounds, including newcomers and refugees
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of college programs and services
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 2 years of experience in education or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
